What does this event involve?

The Riverlands Community Open House was hosted to share current project updates and gather feedback from residents and partners. Attendees were invited to review trail concepts, environmental priorities, and proposed access points throughout the corridor. Additional activities included:

  • Reviewing trail alignment maps

  • Discussing environmental considerations

  • Sharing feedback on access and safety

  • Asking questions directly to the project team

Because this event brought together planners, designers, environmental specialists, and community members, conversations reflected a wide range of perspectives and priorities.

Community discussion and collaboration

Participants engaged in small group discussions and one-on-one conversations with project staff. Feedback focused on connectivity, neighborhood access, and how the Riverlands can best serve both people and the environment.

The project team documented comments and questions to help inform upcoming design refinements and future engagement opportunities.

What were the key takeaways?

Community members expressed strong interest in continued transparency and regular opportunities to engage. Input gathered during the open house will directly support next phases of planning and design.
